I don’t know about you all, but I was definitely on Team Scotty during last year’s season of American Idol! And I have to say, Scotty McCreery has made me proud. This blue eyed country crooner might look like just like just another 19 year old college guy, but he is so much more than that. After Idol, Scotty went on to release one of the best selling records of the year, Clear As Day in 2011. He has toured constantly (recently donating proceeds to victims of hurricane Sandy), and made heaps of TV appearances (most recently NBC’s Rockefeller Christmas special and Good Morning America). He is definitely one of the more busy college kids we know of! I am just not sure how much homework he does these days. With a now gold certified Christmas record, Christmas with Scotty McCreery, is the most recent addition to his catalog AND a welcomed guest on our holiday playlists. If you’re fan of Blake Shelton, you will love Scotty’s new album. Check out one of my favorite tracks from his debut release, “The Trouble with Girls” below. His voice is so incredibly rich and beyond his years that it’s a perfect fit for a holiday album, especially on the track First Noel. I think you’ll see (hear) what I mean. What do you think?
